Another way of living

In the New Testament, the word “brethren” describes a community of men and women who chose another way of living: the way of Jesus. The Church of the Brethren, begun three centuries ago in Germany, still draws people who want to continue Jesus’ work of faithfulness and loving service. The Southeastern District Church of the Brethren (SEDCOB) encompasses 40 congregations throughout the states of Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Even though our churches are spread out geographically, we remain a closely-knit community of believers who aim to work simply, peacefully, and together to win over the world to Christ.
