Camp F.A.Q.s
What to bring?
Campers are encouraged to bring anything that will prepare them to learn about Christ, while having fun in the outdoors. Some common recommendations are:
- Bible
- Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillow)
- Toiletries (towels, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
- Clothing (for various temperatures; swim suit, tennis shoes, jacket, boots, etc.)
- Close-toed shoes
- Flashlight
What NOT to bring?
- Clothing that does not reflect Christian values (bikinis, short shorts, halter tops, etc.)
- Electronics (cell phones, iPods, etc.)
- Weapons (pocket knives, guns, etc.)
- Alcohol/drugs or any clothing that promotes these
What does camp start and end?
- Camps start at 3 PM on their start dates
- Camps end at 10 AM on their end dates
Who are the leaders?
Our camps are staffed with dedicated and passionate volunteers. Our volunteer camp leaders are gospel-centered men and women from all around our district. Both of our camps operate on a 1:5.5 ratio with at least two leaders per cabin. For information about becoming a leader, visit our volunteer page.
Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes! Both Camp Carmel and Camp Placid offer financial aid through scholarships and/or sponsorships. Contact the camp manager or camp director to learn more.
